Hey all! Just a quick post to update you on what this week looks like. Tomorrow morning, Chris and the rest of the Senior school teachers leave for 3 days to take the Senior school students on a spiritual retreat. They have been planning it since the beginning of the school year, and we just made a promo video for it last weekend :] The theme of the retreat is "running the race" -- with perseverance and in a God-honoring way. Will you be a contributing player? Or just a bench-warmer? The sports analogies are endless, and with Chris's love of sport's analogies, he will make a great leader and speaker!
Since I'm part of the Primary school team, I must stay behind :[ I will miss him lots, but school must go on for the rest of us! Please be praying alongside me for the Senior school staff and students! Pray that God will equip the staff with willing and ready hearts to serve the students, and that the students will leave behind distractions and be excited for this time of reflection and growth.
I'm so proud of Chris and the great leader and teacher that he is to so many students. They think he's great!
Please pray specifically for his strength and energy [ he's got 10 boys to look after ]. There are also several who are really searching right now and have been coming to Chris with questions. Pray for wisdom, and that he will let the Holy Spirit guide any conversations he has with them.
Chris is getting packed now. . . all that's left is a quick hair cut and he'll be ready!
